Taapsee while speaking to the media said,"Aadukalam earned me a good name. The song Yaathe Yaathe seems to have been written for me. Now I am acting in the film Vandhan Vendran.

I am also acting in a Telugu film directed by Krishnavamsi. In between I have also completed acting in a Hindi film David Dhawan. This film is the remake of the Hindi film Chashme Buddoor which was released in 1981.
I have also paired with Mammooty in the Malayalam film titled Doubles. So far I have not given importance to glamour. I am accepting roles that have scope for acting. But I will be careful that I will act in a commercial film which will be a hit."
