Sheela while speaking to the media said,"Since I am pairing with leading actors in Telugu, I am being paid more salary there. But I am not expecting the same salary for Tamil films. I am getting lots of small roles in Tamil. I refused them. The reason is because I had selected wrong roles and could not retain a place for myself in Tamil cinema. That is why I have refused these roles.
Only those people who I had refused are spreading news that I am demanding excess salary. I am demanding only nominal salary. Many are asking me that whether I will don glamour roles in Tamil like in Telugu films. What is wrong in doing glamour roles? The Malayalam film Make-up Man in which I had acted as become a super hit. Currently I am acting in two Telugu films."
