Ad model Divya Parameswaran debuts as heroine

You could have seen Divya Parameswaran in TV ads. But now she has debuted as heroine through the film Ponnar Shankar which had Prasanna in the lead role. She while speaking to the media said,"I was born in Chennai but brought up in Bangalore. I have completed engineering in Information Science. My father was Colonel in the army. Now I am in Mumbai with my parents.

I was in the modeling field for the last 6 years. Many are asking me that since I was a city bred girl, was it not a risky affair to act in the historical film Ponnar Shankar.

To tell the truth I accepted the heroine role since it was a historical film. In TV ads, importance is given to the product then the model, but in cinema we cannot easily escape. Since I understood the story and had the confidence that I can give the best performance, I agreed to jump in the field. About the experience acting in this film, I should say it was very thrilling.

Have you have ever seen a python in a close distance. Director Thyagarajan told me about the sequence wherein a fifteen feet python will cling on me and I should try to escape. I started shivering when I heard this. But somehow I managed to do the sequence without showing my fear."

Taapsee while speaking to the media said,"Aadukalam earned me a good name. The song Yaathe Yaathe seems to have been written for me. Now I am acting in the film Vandhan Vendran.

I am also acting in a Telugu film directed by Krishnavamsi. In between I have also completed acting in a Hindi film David Dhawan. This film is the remake of the Hindi film Chashme Buddoor which was released in 1981.I have also paired with Mammooty in the Malayalam film titled Doubles.

 So far I have not given importance to glamour. I am accepting roles that have scope for acting. But I will be careful that I will act in a commercial film which will be a hit."

Janani Iyer while speaking to the media said,"I hail from Chennai. I have completed my engineering two years ago. I took up modeling when I was studying plus 2. I had acted in lots of Ad films. Many advised me to take up acting in the main stream cinema. Instead of acting in some other films, I wanted to make my debut in a film that everyone would desire. At that point of time I got a call from Bala’s office.

I prayed to all the Gods and went to his office. When Bala selected me, I cancelled the air ticket I had booked to Australia where I wanted to pursue my higher studies. The shooting took place at Kutralam. Since Arya had worked with Bala for three years, he was not perturbed at the shooting spots. He advised me,"Do what he tells you."I did as per his advice.

My biggest plus is that I have begun my career in a best film. Vishal has also a big part in making me a best actress. He use to memorize my dialogues and use to remind me if I miss it. Many are telling that no one has so far done the role in India which Vishal did in this film. I am new to Tamilcinema but Bala sir permitted me to dub for this film in my own voice. We were laughing throughout the film. It is so jolly full film. I am the new Loosu Ponnu in Tamil after the release of Avan Ivan."

Shreya while speaking about this said,"In Tamil the film Roudram in which I have done the female lead role is to be released shortly. I am also participating in the shooting of the Hindi film Midnight Children directed by Deepa Mehta.

Recently I have come to know that some actresses’ images are uploaded in the websites in a vulgar way. The worst part is that they are selling these pictures. I know that how much these actresses will feel. I have also been in a situation like this.

I surfed the internet and found out in which websites my fake images are being uploaded. I took serious against them and saw that my images are deleted.

After this incident I am very cautious in my facebook and twitter. Some of the people use to contact me in these social websites and ask for my photos. I will not send them immediately. Only after confirming that they are real friends, I will mail my photos."

After seeing Madrasapattinam, lots of people told me stories. I was confused in selecting the roles. At that point of time, Vijay introduced me to Gowtham Menon. Gowtham took the screen test. Everything is perfect and now I am Jessie in the Hindi field.

Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya was a super hit film in Tamil Nadu. Trisha character was much spoken about. Is it possible for you to do that role?

After the release of the film, I can be identified only as Jessie. I have done so much homework. Whether I eat three times a day, I see the VTV DVD three times a day. Only language is a problem. I have started learning Hindi. Next I am planning to learn Tamil. What do you say.

It is a good thing. You have been introduced in Tamil in a good way. Will you able to retain this image?

It is the success for that character. The story of the film Madrasapattinam happens in 1940. As per the story I am donning the role of a polite person. I have the confidence that I can act in all kind of roles. Because of this I will also don glamour roles.

There is news that you are in love with Arya?

Jesus. Are you really telling this? Arya is a wonderful person. I have learnt a lot of good things from him. Apart from this, I swear there is nothing between us.
