Swathika says that she wants to act in controversial roles

Mudhal Kadhal Mazhai heroine Swathika while speaking to the media said,” I am donning the role called Lalitha in this film. Mahendran is doing the lead role. My role is equivalent to the heroe’s role.

I have got good scope for acting. This film was initially titled Lalitha Colony but since Colony is an English word, the title was changed as Mudhal Kadhal Mazhai. The story of this film is about the property dispute between two families. Madhuvannan is directing this film.

I had acted in the Kannada film Pallavi Illadha Saranam. I got a good name. I don’t have faith that a heroines can win with glamour alone. There will be sensation for few days if we act in glamour roles. Only acting can earn a good place.

That doesn’t mean that I won’t act in glamour roles. I will act in glamour roles where there is scope for acting also. There are lots of controversial films. I would like to act in such kind of controversial roles. We can confidently act in these kind of roles if the film is directed by directors like Prabhu Solomon.”

Vijayalakshmi says that she is bored with homely roles

Vijayalakshmi says that she is bored with homely roles. She while speaking to the media said,” I have done homely roles in all the films I have acted so far.

That is the mistake I have done. Because of this mistake there was a image that I am suitable for such roles only. Apart from this, I am bored doing these kind of homely roles.

To change this image I have decided to act in glamour roles. Because of this I have conducted a photo shoot. My idea is that once we have decided to act, we should be ready to act in any roles.

Priyamani says there are no good Tamil films

Actress Priyamani says that these days there are no good Tamil films and that is the reason that she is not acting in Tamil films. She who was sidelined as an unlucky actress came to limelight after Ameer made her act in the film Paruthiveeran. The directors and producers seeing her acting in Paruthiveeran approached her with roles but she turned down the offers.

Then later on she acted in some waste films which made her stumble. So she switched over to Telugu and tried to attract the audience by showing her curves excessively and became very popular there.

Priyamani who is hunting for offers in Telugu and Malayalam films says the reason for her not acting in Tamil films. She said,” These days there are no good films in Tamil and that is why I am not acting in Tamil films.”

Sangeetha says that she has not seen Kamal before

Sangeetha is an actress who gives sweet shocks and surprises by donning vamp role, heroine role and guest roles. Now all of a sudden she got committed in Manmadhan Ambu and has completed it. In Thambi Kottai she has donned the role of a vamp which will be more threatening than the Neelambari role.

How is life?

I have returned from abroad after six months after completing the shooting of Manmadhan Ambu. My husband Krish had also gone for musical programme in America and London. Now only he has returned. Half of the time we speak over the phone. Though we are away apart our hearts are in search of each other. We will keep chasing one another as far as our work is concerned. We are united so much that we are careful that no problem should rise with regard to our profession.

It seems that you have rocked as Beeda Pandiammal in the film Thambikottai?

After Uyir, I have donned the daring role as Beeda Pandiammal. This is a challenging role and you will say that no one except me can do this role.

How did you get the opportunity to work in Kamal Hassan’s film?

It is a great suspense for me till now. I am an ardent fan of Kamal. I have not seen him. Even if at all we meet in any functions, it will be a mere hello. One day I got a phone call saying that I am acing in Kamal’s film and asked me to come to the rehearsal. I was shocked. Even before I could recover from this shock we had gone to the cruise for the shooting.

When can we expect junior Krish?

It needs proper planning. We both are running busily after shooting and music. Very soon we both are planning to go to some country.

Where did you go for honeymoon after marriage?

We did not go for honeymoon at all.

Trisha refuses to do the role of a commercial sex worker

Trisha was offered a role of a commercial sex worker in a Telugu film and was also offered a heavy sum to act in this film. But Trisha refused to do this role. While speaking about this said,” The prostitute role is a challenging one.

It is not a easy thing to act in this role. That is why I refused to act in that film. I don’t have the maturity to do this role. If I do the role, it should be in such a way that no other actresses should have done it. All the actresses should be scared seeing my acting.

When I get that kind of boldness, I will act in such kind of roles. The film Manmadhan Ambu in which I had acted with Kamal is being released on 17th of this month. I was very scared and nervous when I had acted with Kamal because this is my first film with him. This film gave me a feel that as if I was acting in my first film.

I am very much eagerly expecting this film. There is nothing wrong in the rumors about the actors and actresses. It helps in the growth of the heroine. Because of this actors and actresses should not be worried. Some actresses have the habit of spreading rumors about themselves for publicity sake. I am not such kind a person.”

Amala Paul and Oviya are the hot cakes of Kodambakkam

Myna and Kazhavani heroines Amala Paul and Oviya hail from Kerala. They have a half a dozen films in their hands. The leading actors are willing to pair with these heroines. So there is a talk in the Kodambakkam that the duo will take the place of Asin and Nayanthara.

Lakshmi Rai who had acted in Tamil films was donning second heroine roles only. When Lakshmi Rai asked was asked that why she is getting in lesser Tamil films, she said,” It is not like at all.

Amala Paul says that Rajni has appreciated her

After the success of Myna, Amala Paul will be doing the female lead role in the film to be directed by A R Murugadoss. She will also pair with Vikram in a film and with Arya in Vettai. Amala while speaking about the experiences she gained in Myna, she said,” It has given me a lot of experience.

Myna is the reason for my happiness that I have gained in my entire career. There was a little slip in my first film but Myna changed the fate. At this point of time a new world has dawned within me. There are lots of appreciations from many.

I get lots of phone calls appreciating me. My in box is filled with messages. Some one knocks my door and gives me flower bouquet and tells me that Rajni sir has given this. Rajni has written in his own hands saying‘ Greetings Amala’. I had tears in my eyes and I show this to my mother.

She also weeps. This is the greatest recognition I have ever got. I never expected this. Even if I think about this now I feel very happy and also have tears in my eyes. Now I have decided that how my career should be. Within two years after coming from Kerala, they have given me a great scope.

I should retain this till the end of my cinema career. The days when I roamed the forests and the people with whom I have moved with are unforgettable. I am really thankful to every one of them there. I am also thankful for the fate and above all a great thanks to Prabhu Solomon who made all this possible for me.”

Oviya in Manmadha Ambu

Manmadha Ambu is a film which has Kamal Haasan and Trisha in the lead roles. Sangeetha and Madhavan are also in the cast. The film which is being produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin is being directed by K S Ravikumar. Devi Sriprasad has composed the music. The audio CD was launched recently in a big way at Singapore.

There was news that Oviya who had acted in Kazhavani is also acting in this film. When asked her about this, she said,” After Kazhavani, I am acting in few films including Muthukku Muthaga. I am appearing in some scenes in Manmadhan Ambu. All these scenes will not be the usual ones.

There will be a lot of comedy. Though this is a guest role, there should be some boldness to do this guest role at this young age. I acted because it was Kamal sir’s film. I think the story will be like Thenali, Panchathanthiram and Avvai Shanmughi.

In a short span of time after becoming an actress, I got the opportunity to act in Kamal sir’s film. Many are telling that it is a rare opportunity. I will be happier if I get the opportunity to pair with Kamal.”

Trisha’s long time life dream is to sing in the music of A R Rahman. Trisha is now happy that this dream is likely to be fulfilled soon.

She is going to dub for Manmadhan Ambu because of the serious training given by Kamal Haasan. She has sung a poetic song which is featuring in the audio CD of Manmadhan Ambu. In future she is going to dub in her own voice in her forthcoming films.

In order to improve her voice, she is going to classical music systematically. Her mother says,’ She will learn everything fast. She learnt swimming, yoga and diving with ease.’ Trisha might approach A R Rahman after learning classical music.

Shruthi Haasan says‘Yes’ to Udhayanidhi Stalin

Udhayanidhi Stalin is now progressing with his project that will mark his onscreen debut in Kollywood. The film was first titled as‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ and was reported to be a romantic entertainer with same level of comedy that was present in ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’. But now Rajesh has likely changed the film’s title as ‘Nanbenda’.

But it was a difficult task to find the film’s heroine as most of the top-charting heroines refused to pair with him. They were ready to pay any big salary to Nayanthara, but she kept denying with the fact that Prabhu Deva doesn’t allow her to do so.

Finally after not finding any actresses, both Udhayanidhi Stalin and director Rajesh have zeroed down on Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruthi.

Shruthi Haasan is now pairing with Suriya in Ezham Arivu, which is directed by A.R. Murugadoss and is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the banner name of Red Giant Movies.

Shruthi Haasan has now said‘Yes’ to Udhayanidhi Stalin and she may get a bigger salary.

Snigitha says that rumours are publicity

Snigitha has come to Chennai for the release of the film Nandhalala. When asked how that she is acting in Mysskin’s films alone, she said,” It happened on its own. There are so many heroines here who have reached to the top in a single film.

I have spoken to some of them. But I got to the top place by acting in a single song. I never came here expecting anything .Mysskin first told me the story of Nandhalala and I took the flight from Indore and came here.

But to some reasons the shooting of this film got postponed. At that point of time, he made me dance for the song Kannale Kuthathe. That place became so gala. I myself never expected that I can dance this well. Mysskin was responsible for this.

I have so happy when my Chennai friends told me that one of the reason for the success of Anjathey was this song also. Then Nandhalala has begun and now it has been released. It is such a beautiful and rare story. Now I will try to become a leading actress in Chennai.

About the rumours linking me with Mysskin, my friends told me that is also one kind of publicity. So I kept quiet. Even now also there are so many rumours. I have read some of these and I have laughed. Publicity is important for those who are in cinema. Because of this I want more rumors please.”
